Statement

Landscape and the figure are two of my prime interests. My main objective in painting is to express the subject vividly and expressively in terms of colour or when using drawing material such as charcoal and white pastel, to exploit the dramatic possibilities of line and tone.

Alongside my work as a practising artist, I have been engaged in teaching within adult education as well as the education programme of museums and arts centres.
